ABOUT THE PROJECT

Context

The severe worsening of educational disparities and the increase in dropout rates caused by COVID-19 pandemic’s outbreak call for the adoption of a more holistic approach to inclusive education. Arts teaching, when referring to theoretically based strategies addressing the strengths and needs of a diverse range of students, can effectively support a more inclusive school culture, while also promoting students’ wellbeing and the development the 3 sets of 21st Century Skills:

  • Learning and innovation skills
  • Digital literacy skills
  • Career and life skills

InCrea+ responds to these needs by providing material and training to teachers in relation to inclusive educational methods through art. The focus will be on students between 11 to 16 years old and particular attention will be devoted to enforcing activities that can help stimulate creativity, critical thinking, multicultural dialogue and many other skills in an inclusive environment suitable for students with Special Educational Needs (SENs), diverse backgrounds and low socio-economic status.
